- Release the DOOR unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock one time to confirm the program mode is actuated. Remove the key from the ignition.
- Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button on one keyless remote for approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
- Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters. Reprogram any existing remotes at this time as they have been erased.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON (one more click forward) position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
- Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
Tips
- On a 2006 Suburban, the first keyless entry programmed will set to Driver 1, and the second to Driver 2.
- Works for 2005 TrailBlazer too.
- Also works on 04 Silverado
- Also works on 2004 Avalanche with #1 and #2 remotes
Warnings
- Some models may require security system or other fuses to be removed.

You've tripped your car alarm and it won't turn off!
Steps
- Make sure the drivers front(left front) door is closed and you have your car keys.
- Insert your door key into the drivers door and turn it to the locked position two times.
- Then turn the key to the unlock position twice.
- The alarm should be disarmed, now.
- SECOND TECHNIQUE:
- If not then take the ignition key and turn the ignition switch all the way ON then OFF then ON a second time and OFF again.
- These are the procedures for nearly all factory alarm systems.
- If neither of these works you probably have an after market(add-on) alarm system. Disarming a after market alarm system with your ignition key will be discussed in a future post.
Warnings
- This technique is only for use on your own car that you own and have keys for. If you don't have the keys- disconnect the negative battery cable to stop the horn until you get your keys. Then reconnect the negative terminal and proceed to step one.
